Last weekend Teagan tried her hand at spindling on my CD spindle. She loved it so much that she spun up all the sample pieces I had left over from my class at Stitches East. We went to The Woolery website so she could pick out her own good spindle. I thought for sure she'd choose the cat face sculpted spindle similar to my rabbit spindle but no - she chose a Kundert Spindle. The whorl and shaft are made with walnut and the accents on the whorl are yellowheart and bloodwood. It's gorgeous. She likes my merino/silk and had the easiest time spinning that; so I gave her the choice of colors and what does she choose? GREEN! It is not the light glacier green I have, but called lichen. Still a Louet fiber; it is a deeper green and I sure love it. Good thing there is plenty of it to share with grammy. I SO love having a granddaughter that shares in my love of crafts.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What we see when watching others depends on the window through which we look.
