Keep On Sewing, Keep On Sewing.....................

I've been sewing some more key chains/luggage tags and small project bags.  Gryphon is not doing well and I'm trying to keep busy or else I'll crack from the stress.  He developed non-stop yellow diarrhea despite limiting his food to cooked ground beef and rice or plain chicken.  A trip to the vet brought home some antibiotics and we ran the blood tests again.  The good news is that his white blood cell count went down a further 6,000 so we are now at 34,000 aiming for 20,000.  The bad news is that it is showing something with the liver.  I need to talk to the vet more about this as I don't really understand if this means the cancer has moved into his liver or what?  I suppose only a scan will tell us for sure but I need to find out.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, like little Dori keeps on swimming, I keep on sewing and sewing and sewing.  See?

I kept this one for myself and put it on my green project bag.  Love it!

This is a nice large coaster for a pitcher of lemonade.

With this pic you can see the swirly detail on the bottom and the awesome toggles I found!

Finished Marjorie's blanket.  Looks plain, ha?

It's really an illusion.  If you look at it sideways, you see EINSTEIN!   I drove it down to her after Gryphon's vet appt. and she LOVES it!  It is so fun to knit gifts for truly knitworthy people that appreciate it.

Finally finished the endless striped socks.

This is the back of a top called Trellis and Fins.  The trellis is the yoke and center design and where you see the vertical lines near the bottom will be picked up and knit fins there.  Sounds weird but really very pretty.  You'll see.

Well, Gryphon is asking if it is time to go to work yet so I guess we're off.

Thought for the day:  You can close your eyes to the things you do not want to see; but you cannot close your heart to the things you do not want to feel

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Gryphon.
