Tour de Fleece - Day 21

This is the last weekend of the Tour de Fleece and I have accomplished my goal of spinning and plying 8 oz of polwarth.  It came out wonderfully soft, squishy and sproingy.  I think it will make a lovely shawl or lacy vest.  I got 746 yards of 2-ply.  I am very pleased.  It is all dry now and waiting for the perfect project.
The skein of 3-ply I challenged myself to attempt is also dry today.  I just love the way the colors blend in a 3 ply.  It is not strictly a barber pole effect but a more subtle blending.  I'm going to do more of it in future projects for sure.  The yarn is also much more round.  I love the sheen the bamboo in this blend imparts.  It feels very soft as well.  I have 320 yards awaiting the right project.
Gryphon is doing well adjusting to the ramp for the SUV.  Once I put his harness on and brought out his clicker, all fear was gone.  It was as if we were in agility class again and the ramp was the A-frame.  He goes up with gusto and down with ease like a pro now.  I may develop some arm muscles hauling this ramp in and out all the time he is with me in the car.  If only it firms up the batwings, I'll be ever so grateful.  Ageing is not a pretty thing where gravity is concerned.
I'm not very happy about this heat wave.  Being in the 100's is just not right in my world.  It is a bit cooler at night but my AC has been on 24/7 and my little bedroom unit actually could not keep up this afternoon.  I'm so glad it isn't this hot all summer.  I'm SO looking forward to fall.  Only 2 months to the mountains!  Yay!
