Amazing, isn't it? I don't think his tires went over it, just the undercarriage of the car; but still. He did file a complaint with the post office. We have a huge mailbox the package could have fit in and we have a hook underneath to hang a package in a bag. Either one could have been used so we encouraged them to inform the driver to use those options instead of in the middle of the driveway by the road.
I must admit I've been pretty focused on the spinning this past week and haven't knit much.
This stand has a mystery green/rust merino/silk I had purchased at a sheep and wool festival (spun on the minispinner) and two spindles of the bronze bamboo ready to be plied.
I've put in a few more rows on Teagan's Pirate Queen's Booty Bag. Just starting the crossbones on large skull. (apologies to my buds who don't like skull and crossbones)
I've also knit a few rows on the BeeFields Stole but don't have a pic. It's kind of useless to photograph lace before it is blocked. Just looks like a pile of yuk. It's coming along nicely though and I'm into the second skein of the MadelineTosh Winter Wheat. SO lovely to work with.
For anyone who likes Knit-A-Longs, BadCatDesigns is starting a lace KAL with instruction to make a lace sweater to fit your individual proportions. Apparently it starts out as basic shawl construction and morphs into a sweater. I don't know exactly but I love BadCat's designs and missed out on the last KAL so jumped right into this one. There will also be several shawls and/or scarf all for the price of $17 to join the group. You can find out more info on the blog link above. It is called Metamorphosis.
Thought for the day: The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.
