Kitty shave down. This is Lil' Puss. She is a buff persian and has a ton of fur on this tiny body. She generates so much heat, she keeps the bed warm. I have been shaving her since we adopted her as a kitten and found she loved it. She doesn't care much for the process, she tolerates it politely, but after she is done, she prances around and purrs and purrs and drools; yes drools. She is 18 now and has taken to drooling when happy. She is just too funny. She loves to curl up in the crook of my arm when I knit and is happy to leave the yarn alone. She just wants to cuddle. And drool. And purr. She is a little purring machine, this girl.
This pic is a little fuzzy; but here is the after shot. I leave the tail and legs but everything else gets buzzed. Even though she has a grouchy looking 'puss' on her, she is really doing a happy dance, that's why the pic is fuzzy. She also is very happy after I wash her face up from all the yucky tear drainage. I wish breeders would stop breeding these genetic disasters. Because of that smooshed face she snores because she doesn't breathe well and since her tear ducts are pinched off, the tears that should drain back into the eyes, spill out onto her face and turn brown with exposure to air. It's such a shame because she has the most beautiful blue eyes. I don't like the color blue, but I do love her eyes. I keep her as comfortable as possible but she is truly a high maintenance kitty. Good thing she is so loveable; she makes it worth it.
